Exposure to small changes in spatial input induced by 2- and 4-diopter prisms failed to generate a significant postexposure adaptive change; in contrast, positive and significant adaptive change occurred following exposure to prismatic displacements provided by 8-, 16-, or 24-diopter prisms.
